It was a bit of a rough tumble off her horse, but Rozenn retained hold of her sword and was only upon her feet on the ground for a matter of seconds before noticing a charger without a rider. The woman grabs at the dappled beast's reins and is soon astride. Well before a marshall even has time to look her way. With her original unit well and away, deep in the fray, the Burcombe wheels about gives rallying cries to other riders nearby. People who have just regained their seat or fell behind from their original unit. There's enough fire and spark in the woman's words — nevermind that battle projection! — that a number of them do see fit to follow and the new group sets off to rejoin the fray.

Seraphina even in her silence is not a very happy Knight on the ground, there is a shift of her attention, and then she is pulling herself up on the saddle of a passing charger. A wheel around and she is sliding into Robert's group, inspired by those near her and the skill of honor of the riding group, she has time to ready her sword for the Knight that comes into her view.

The knights near Rozenn de Burcome hear her words, and come to join her, rather than enter the fray alone. One knight seems to recognize her, "For Salisbury …. For Logres." The others raise sword and arm, a clatter follows her with renewed vigor, ready to batlle onto the end under her command.r Seraphina charges in to join the group, seeing her Liege leading a small group against a banded group of Cambrian knights, mingled from the three teams they are fighting. Like others, she is drawn to glory of the moment and swings her sword true upon the chest of the other knight. No shield to block, he has little to do but be tossed aside and asunder the hooves of horses. He rolls and is left to fight for a horse if he wishes to continue this day.

Catryn checked her horsemanship of 15, she rolled 17.

Catryn rides with Robert as well, the group though small forming a head of steam for the machine they are currently. Their opposition seems to stand little chance, but the knight she comes against is a veteran himself, sword and shield rattle to the sound of hooves underlying the fight, his sword rings truer, but she sets her feet into the stirrups and stays his blow, remaining in the fight for now.

Returning to the melee from delivering one for ransom, Catryn slightly separates from Bryce, likely, and finds a knight to fight. Her sword is brought against armor but the other knight proves much stronger and better prepared. In an amazing display of horsemanship, she somehow keeps in the saddle, not questioning it, but thanking all of the gods that her sister worships so vigilantly.

The knight that finds Quillian raises his sword as well, Robert's Team rides with a fury, but he doesn't let thier pose daunt him, he rallies with his own sword, and clashes against shield and armor of the Knight. They two enter combat and the fight ensues between the two of them.

After delivering Sir Edryd as a prisoner to the side to be held for ransom there, Bryce de Baverstock soon loses sight of Catryn de Burcombe, but even so, the melee still rages on and calls him back into the fray. Dark eyes scan the tourney field until he spots the team of his Earl, and the Baverstock rides right back in, his fingers tightening about the pommel of his sword as he swings at one seasoned knight of obvious skill, judging from the number of Logres knights he has already dirven off his horse.

Despite having been knocked free earlier in a stunning feat of horsemanship and athleticism, the Blackfish catches the reigns of a passing rouncey and halls himself up, before he charges in with Robert's lot. rejoining his leige. His first hacking swing is caught by the knight who moves to intercept. However , despite landing a blow on Quill- he fails to dislodge him.

Riding into the fray alongside his liege, Acwel tries to stick with the formation of knights, sword still drawn as they seemingly find themselves in an advantaged position against the enemy. He rushes against a fresh-faced knight, sword sent in an arc to hit the man.

Another finds Sir Bryce, this an older knight, grizzled with scars and ready for battle. He looks content just to be on the field that he loves, atop a horse with a sword and swinging it at others. There is some pushing and such with the sword versus simply swinging for hits, as if trying to play up the tactic of shoving off versus simply battle. Slightly dirty, the man tries, but in fact leaves himself open for a hit. A refocus to stay in the saddle, but press the attack on Bryce.

A young knight, clean of face, founds Acwel in the group under Robert. Like most of his counterparts, his sword does little against this team of Salisury and instead he must focus on staying mounted, which he manages for now, trying to get a hit against Acwel as they fight continuesl.

Failed.
Bradwyn checked his sword of 15, he rolled 18.

Ths sword comes down, a loud clang there as it finds the armor of the notable knight Bryce is fighting. At least the Baverstock shows no fear nor reluctance to inflict damage - even so, the strike is well placed but not executed with enough momentum to push the impressive frame of his opponent out of the saddle - a fact that makes the enthusiasm in the Baverstock's eyes dim ever so slightly, as it means this one could prove to be quite a tough match. The other knight obviously a man of experience as can be seen from the scars, but even so Bryce will not back away, keeping close to him instead as he reins in his steed. The dapple grey charger he grabbed at some point during the melee after his most recent flight lets out a loud whinny, legs stomping on the ground, as Bryce swings his sword again, aimed to drive the man out off the saddle.

Amongst the battle between Glouchester and Clarance, which is quickly becoming the main fray with Robert moving his team to other targets and Lord Knight Edryd removed from the melee, there is a turn of events with the confusion of the Salisbury knights there. Glouchester hates Clarence, and holds a little in this new confusion. A knight rises against Bradwyn, and even with a shield in place, the force of the other knight is enough to topple him, sending him in search of another mount if he wishes to stay in the battle.

Bradwyn keeps going, the tall knight of Idmiston seemingly like a wrecking ball as he is driven by his love for his family. Another target arises and once more he swings. The blow striking hard and a second average knight topples to the ground under the heavy blow of the ablated sword. Bradwyn however simply continues on seeking yet another to fall to his blade.

Success
Catryn checked her sword of 15, she rolled 13.

Coming to the aid of the Idmiston knight, Acwel gallops his horse towards the man, while still engaged to the fresh-faced knight he'd swiped a few moments prior. He keeps his shield raised as the Woodford grits his teeth, trying to go to the aid of his fellow knight while stopping the young one chasing him in his tracks.

The knight against Catryn is locked in this combat, not wanting to give up. She falls blows upon him, each new dent to his shield rining out as shelands them upon him and yet he holds in the saddle, defying her, daring her to try more, or challenging her to give in, so his sword may draw her from the saddle.

Fiercely competitive, the Burcombe finds her next opponent and delivers a loud crash of her sword against his chest. It doesn't phase him in the slightest, not even a little, and tries to settle and regroup to continue to fight on a more sure footing.

The two locked in combat, shield and sword ringing for each. A clank upon metal, a skitter across shield or armor even, as each one finds his opponent intent on driving them down. Sir Quillian makes good to stay with his Liege for this melee and his opponent can take more more. Instead of defending against the knight, he must raise hand and shield against the ground quickly coming. A thud into the now soft dirt of the field, and a roll to stand and find a new mount

The fight continues about Sir Bryce, his foe standing with him, each exchanging blows with little ground. The horses trod a little, not quite a skitter as the two remain solely focused on the other as each blow sounds against the other to no avail in the headway of this contest between the two. The battle rages about them.

Success
Acwel checked his sword of 15, he rolled 10.

The Blackfish's blade is quick as he comes along the flank of one of his fellow knights, he quickly catches the other knight's sword on his shield, before catching the other knight in the ribs, sending him to the ground with some spite.

"Bastard." hissed within his helm. Though once his opponent is down, Quill raises his sword. "For Robert!"

Bryce de Baverstock is still engaged in battle, more specifically with fighting that seasoned veteran knight of notable skill. Knowing perhaps that his chances dwindle the longer this martial encounter is going to last, Bryce pushes on his end for a swift victory, as he swings his sword at the man, but it is the counter that once again threatens to unhorse him. Bryce regains his seat, shifting ever so slightly as he compensates the blow with his agility and horsemanship.

This time, the young knight's got the better on Acwel. He gets struck on the side, but he holds onto his reins and keeps his legs firmly pressing against the horse's flanks, wheeling around to counterattack at the next possible opportunity.

The battle continues to press upon Acwel, and the knight he faces is competent with sword and for all his worth, it seems Acwel is stury in his saddle. No matter how hard he tries, seeming to fluster the man who grunts as he presses onward just the same.

The fray around Robert has suddenly opened up, as Robert rides on towards another rallied group. This leaves the fallen at a disadvantage. No knights stay behind to interfere with the Marshals. This makes the scramble for horses there much more difficult. And a few marshals converge near this fray as it was until recently the largest group on the field. Thus, as the proverbial dust seems to settle, Sir Aeron is exposed to thier watchful eyes.

As Sir Brynmor takes a group and tries to stop Duke Randall's men from devestating Count Ioan's remnants, he finds a knigh in the thick of that battle who turns to face him. The two clash, but to no avail for the knight of Cheshire, he finds a solid blow to land with his sword, while the knight of Salisbury remains astride his horse and they enter personal combat thusly.

Managing to remain on her horse through the back and forth swordplay between her and her opponent, Catryn refuses to give up. It's a fierce battle, and she's focused on the knight who seems so intent on unhorsing her.

Still locked into a fight with a very persistent young knight, Acwel's sword is caught in a parry by his opponent's, before said opponent hits him square on the chest. He wobbles a little on his saddle but remains steady, much to the frustration of the foe.

After knocking one foe from his saddle on his stolen horse, Cydneyrn continues his charge through the increasing chaos of his team's fight, the whole of the battle seemingly having collapsed in around them. And yet, while they are now terribly outnumbered and the Count's battle plan in dissaray, with men charging at him and his few remaining allies from what feels like every side at once, the Dinton seems heedless of the turning odds. Leaving his last foe in the dirt, he is on the next in mere moments, spotting the man headed for him and spurring his unfamiliar steed to speed, not keen to be bogged down amidst the sea of fallen men scrambling for horseflesh. Momentum is his weapon now, and well-chosen for all his grand stature, for when such a mass of man and metal gets underway, it can be hard to slow him down again. The Cheshire knight learns this in short order, raising his sword in some vain attack, only to be once again clobbered from his saddle with a great clang of metal. There is no real option for battle strategy here, for Cyndeyrn, no men to call to his side, only as many foes remaining that he can hack down, hoping to slow their team's imminent defeat in time for the others to relieve them.

The once laidback and lazy Steeple Langford knight is leading a charge with his sword outstretched! For whatever reason, he has people actually following his lead! So though he might want to just hang back now, once all of that 'renewed vigor' already begins to wane, with these other knights looking to him for leadership, he realizes that he can't just slack off somewhere and that it would be far more noticeable now with a mini-army behind him! "Well, this sucks." He mutters lowly beneath his breath. So in his outside voice, he calls out to the group with a forced intensity in his tone, "We will not see Count Ioan's army fail! Towards Randall's army!" He shouts!

So with that said, he maneuvers himself and those that follow towards the Duke's men, his own sword now coming to blows with some young fella on a horse, who just happens to be a part of that army. His momentum slowed only by the impact of the loud CLANGING sound of sword striking against shield and while Brynmor has makes quick contact against his opponent, the young knight counters, nearly knocking him off his steed, but the Steeple Langford persists!

The young knight against Acwel can make no ground. He lifts a little in his saddle trying to get some advantage, but still Acwel remains firmly in his saddle. "Yeild, yeild already!" He shouts to no avail.

The One that had stood toe to to with Catryn takes blow after blow, giving the same, it is finally Catryn who shows true force. A solid swing and the man can do little but fall to the ground, hoping to avoid the Marshals near the group. Maybe the few that converged near Sir Aeron will give him room to find a new mount.

Seriol is struggling to say the least, the tides of battle have now seriously turned against Count Ioan and those who ride with him and even though every moment is not constant battle they are pressed hard by Duke Randall who seems determined to fracture their forces and press every advantage. So the large Bishopstone knight is now winded, situations like these ones to press even the most hardened of knights and he is hardly that. Not having yet left his saddle during the melee, it seems a situation that surely cannot last much longer as they are badly outnumbered. Still he is doing his best to protect the Count, trying to keep that core firm and it is in that defensive role that he finds his next opponent who seems alltogether distressingly competent. "Sir" he says starting the fight already winded, "We shall not break.". Very likely true. Falling however, that seems entirerly like just the sort of thing they might do.

Brynmor continues to exchange blow after blow with this wiley young knight, their swords crashing against shield, though it is always the Cheshire knight's blow that has the most impact. If the young Knight of Cheshire is becoming flustered, the Steeple Langford is getting frustrated, "Ho! I have no beef against you, but truly, if you could scoot aside and let me pass, that will be greatly appreciated!" This mere youth stands between Brynmor and his army and the rest of the Duke's bulk! Even as they exchange blows, however, the knight famed for his handsomeness and courage and kind-hearted generosity (in his mind) and all his laziness (In reality) dares to look over his shoulder, seeing that the others who have followed still remain, in their own clashes. "Damnit." No time to slack off still!

The one time chance to turn the tide in this marathon of receiving blows and staying in the saddle appears to be there… when Bryce de Baverstock actually manages to hit home with his tourney blade - the angle is right, the force behind the blow should be enough to lift good Sir Scarred Veteran out of the saddle. Such blow would have driven Bryce out of the saddle, most likely! Alas. It shall not be! A low curse leaves the Baverstock through gritted teeth. After all he is here to give a good showing. And who knows, how many more unhorsings he can take?

Seriol oofs in his saddle as the blow from the Chesire knight finds him, though he remains in his saddle. His reactions are notably slower than they were earlier in the battle, the fray really has been hard fought so far. Armor rattles as his horse shifts position and he responds, "When the field is thinned.." a pause for breath, "We must toil all the harder." Again the Bishopstone knight strikes out with his sword. Faith and Toil, the motto of the Bishopstones. The moment truly does call for both.

The knight agains Sir Brynmor has taken enough, his team has the most knights in the moment in this fray, the group led on by Sir Brynmor is a distraction to their win of the field. Their Duke the senior field officer with the fall of the Cameliard Team. There is glory to be one, he continues his assualt upon the Knight of Steeple Langford.

The knight against Sir Bryce thinks he has the upper hand in this bout for now. A grin spreading upon his features, just as he overswings and takes a good cuff from Sir Bryce. The blow and his momentum carry him throw on his swing, straight off the horse and off to find another mount while trying to avoid marshalls.

Seriol has at least managed to stay in his saddle so far, although that last swordblow came nowhere close to his opponent swinging wide and over his shoulder. Another blow against his armor has his wobbling a touch but then he is steeling himself once more. Again his sword strikes out, not even an attempt at any subtlety, simply an effort to try to make some sort of contact with that blade.

The knight enters that combat with Seriol, and lifting his shield up for the blow from Seriol and returning underhand. Its barely enough to sneak through the shield and sword of Sir Seriol, but its a solid thwomp when it makes contact. Enough to leave at least a bruise. But the knight of Salisbury remain solid in his saddle, showing the grit he is made of as swords raise again and again in this contest.

Brynmor rolls 1d6 and gets (4) for a total of: (4)

Not being used to other knights following his lead in any way, nor do they ever really listen to him when he tells them to scram because he needs that extra few minutes, hours of shut-eye, Brynmor is amazed and a little annoyed now that he has these just as clueless knights under his command! If they had anything close to a clue, they may not have joined his ranks and would have gathered under some other! It is these very thoughts and also that lone peek over his shoulder to see just how many still follow that finally turns the tide in favor of the young Cheshire knight. Feeling the young knight's blow strike with such force upon his shield, when Brynmor turns back to meet the guy's gaze, his distraction also makes him disoriented and it is all of these combined that he finds himself flung from his mighty steed to land on the ground, like some ragdoll, again! He doesn't even attempt to kneel at first, only muttering, "Maybe, I'll decide to stay down this time… just for a few… *yawwwns*" He'll eventually have to rise or risk being trampled, nevertheless!

Persistence. A virtue, even if not exactly knightly, which can now and then come in handy for a knight! Bryce de Baverstock has kept battling his rather tough opponent, dealing many a dent to the other knight's shield, and helmet. And while his optimism may have been faltering a little, Bryce suddenly feels his sword connect again, with full force - and this time, Sir Scarred-a-lot does not manage to stay in the saddle! He takes a fall, and dark eyes follow him briefly as the Baverstock watches him evade the marshalls. And in a brief moment of temporary triumph, the Lord Knight of Baverstock raises his sword and calls: "Never falter!" Before he casts a glance about to single out his next opponent, for the next round.

Seriol takes that latest blow, shaking his head for just a moment as if to clear it. "However…. this should end.." the Bishopstone pants out, "You fight well sir. And your blows are like being pummeled by anvils even so long into the fray." A bit of exaggeration perhaps, but then in the moment perhaps not so much when every one falls upon a form so wearied. Again his sword strikes out, perhaps this time to find it's target.

The knight continues to swing successfull at Sir Seriol who doesn't want to budge from the saddle. He's large enough that he's hard to move, but the knight id setermiend to keep trying all the same. No relent at least in this contest of sword.

Seriol is looking rather like an anvil himself at the moment, certainly there is a lot of striking of swords against him. Still though for the moment he seems unmovable, at least that much can be said of this encounter. Once more he strikes out, a downward hacking motion this time attempting to use his size to some advantage.

A grit of teeth, the knight presses his advantage. Sword arm good, yes, Sir Seriol moving, not so much. "Fall already!" He says, fluster showing in his features.

Seriol gets his shield up to catch the opposing knight's latest blow, managing at least some occasional bit of self defense for all his sword arm seems to be most deeply unsound. "Rather… not" he manages, "Wearing.. you out.. any time.. now.". Well, it's something to hope for.

The other knight finally lands a blow against him and the man falters a little. Pulling himself up quickly before he falls and lifting sword arm before Sir Seriol can gain momentum in this fight. Already it could be too late of course, but he has determination to see this anvil fall from its mooring.

Seriol manages to actually make contact with the sword. If it surprises him he gives no sign, but then, how much expression does a fully helmed knight truly have. "You see" the Bishopstone counters, Just.. took.. time." It is not a terribly realistic sentiment given the way the fight has gone so far, still he does at least try to make good on it as his sword quickly darts out again trying to capitalize on that momentary faltering.

The two exchange blows, each hit from Seriol seeming to set the knight unstead just a little until his resolve to be the victor is replaced by that to stay on his horse. A slip of hand and shield and its not long before Sir Seriol lands a solid blow on the man who tumbles over into the dirt. Rolling away to escape marshals and capture alike.

Seriol finds that last burst of strength needed to dismount his opponent. There are not many men who rode in with Count Ioan left, fewer still on their original mounts and yet Seriol remains. Sword met anvil and the anvil won. Onward goes the struggle.

Last time on Adventurous Realms:

Glaw had remounted a Palfrey, prefering to stay with Team One and Robert's knights for the time being, only to be opposed by a unfortunate knight that found out the hard way that he is just an obstacle to Glaw by now. Only few sword-swipes are traded, while glaw hacks away at his shield until he has practically hammered him down on the other side of his horse. Glaw rides on, not even deigning him worth to try to capture, apparently, and instead is looking for more interesting prey. Or at least more impressive. Instead he finds one of the knights in the other team that tries to make a name for him or herself just as he does, who points his sword at him in unsubtle challenge, and Glaw kicks the side of his stole horse to bring it around to meet him, shield lifted to pretect his side, eyes narrowed behind the helmet and sword arm drawn back to be ready to strike…

As Glaw finds an opponent alongside Robert, this newly rallied knight seems lost. He tries to raise his sword, but claw strikes throw towards him thes same. Instead of raising the sword, he drops it and cowers at the blow coming. In cowering the moment,he centers his mass on the horse and holds against the blow. Then, lucky to still be their, he raises shield nd fumbles for the return of his sword.

Success
Glaw checked his merciful of 10, he rolled 4.

This does not start well for his opponent! As the other knight drops his sword to cower, Glaw's strike goes through, perhaps likewise surprising Glaw for the strike deflects, bounces off his shoulder rather than delivering the full force into teh body of the other knight to make him even sway in the saddle. Wheeling his horse around, he then pulls his horse back a little, to let the other knight rearm. "Go ahead, arm yourself.", he tells him, the helmet tilting slightly back to perhaps convey a somewhat uplifted chin. Too proud is Glaw to strike at this unarmed knight this time. Only after he has recovered his sword, does he nod, then spurs his horse in within striking distance again.

The young knight can do little for now against the other knight. Driven by motivation, under the swift leadership of Robert who does well to command the field even while his unit has dwindled in number. He takes blow after blow from Glaw, thankful for the man's honor at least. He tries his best to make it a challenge at least for now, not succeeding, but mounting a defense this time at least with counterswings.

With the other knight rearmed, Glaw presses in his attack, still surging from both Robert's positioning, and the success of the previous rounds and his own eagerness to prove his worth to both him and the lady whose favor he wears, who surely watches from afar. But perhaps the two tumbles he took and the two hours of constant riding, parrying, and striking are finally showing their wear and tear on Glaw, as once more the other knight merely stomachs the strike against his chain, but not enough to make him even struggle too hard to keep in the saddle. Glaw grumbles a little, while he keeps pressing his attack, trying to not gain the other knight the advantage.

The defense returned, but its little he can do, it seems to motivate the other knight who returns a solid blow. No sword dropped so much, but when it hits the man buckles just a little and instead of center mass over the horse, it focuses off to the side. He goes with that inertia, moving to avoid horse hooves, in search of a new mount if he can find one.

Glaw finally gets his sword in under the shield of the other knight, and after softening him up with a strike to the midsection, uses the sword to simply leverage him out of the saddle. Watching the knight fall, Glaw pauses brielfy to look down at him, then lifting his sword in salute, once more refraining from trying for a capture. The other knight would surely only pay a small ransom and he did resist him for long enough, despite the opening fumble. Peering around to find the Earl in the chaos, he soon seeks to rejoin the formation.

His horse had abandoned him, forcing Rowan to attempt his luck with the mount of a recently unhorsed knight on the opposing team. A beautiful charger! This equine seems much more open to the idea, strangely enough, and Rowan successfully mounts the majestic beast. The first pass between them favors his opponent - a just as young, bigger man than himself. His blade grazes the knight's armor, while the knight's blade hits him soundly in chest. He emits a pained grunt but remains on his new charger. Rowan wheels around again, his brown eyes now narrowed and eerily focused solely on his opponent before him. Gideon flounders, searching for a spear. Or a horse. Something that can allow him to meaningfully continue the fight. Because if the Earl is forced to rely on his sword, well…we've seen how that ends up. Apparently Alec is _still_ fawning, jaw slackened because not only does he fail to assist him in receiving a weapon but also fails to get him to a horse. The boy will end up with a knife in his back, surely…However, at least the Lord Stapleford is sufficiently adept and aware of his surroundings to avoid being caught. Ah well, perhaps the next round shall be different.
