Lord Knight Edryd is down to about 30 knights on him, Robert remains around 50 knights with loss and some return to his ranks. The Cameliard knights push again, nearly setting Team 1 to a disadvantage again. With the arrival of Duke Randall in the swell of the main fray, Edryd tries to pull back to rally knights to his standard, openig up to continued engagement by Robert who presses the assault. +3 to weapons for team 1 for the round.

Count Ioan gained an advantage with his oblique ride into the knights of Duke Randall, but they quickly turn the tides. Ioan (Team 2) suffers heavy falls, reduced to nearly 25. The enemy though, remains confused. Without a chance to rally for support, they incur a +3 to weapons rolls as well in the confusion of the flank and the chaos of the main fray. Duke Randall suffers minimal loss all told, nearly the full score of knights ride with him still.

Pellivere and Morvid, Clarance and Glouchester respectfully remain locked in mortal melee. Both have raised their hatred for the other team, Team three has a slight push though and only suffers -3 to weapons against the hate of the Glouchester Knights.

If you are dismounted, you need to remount of course. If you do you may check battle to re-enter the fray, success you may choose to rejoin your unit or team up with another. Critical success is special engagement (19, a standard bearer, team of your coice, 20, the other units commander, your choice, famous knight. Same chances as before, 1-5 is -3 to weapon for round for disadvantage, 6-10 normal, 11-8 is +3 for advantage).

You may, this round, also mount and rally some of the other fallen knights to your cause! Make a battle roll + 1 per 1K glory you have (if someone has hit 1.5K, round up to +2). Crit success 2d6+6 Knights follow your lead, you may engage another team or a small unit similar to the one you just rallied. Success is 2d6, same thing. Failure nothing happens, Crit Fail only matters if you already have followers. If you attemp to rally troops, that is all you do for this round, but can start next round in charge of a unit of your own.

Bryce de Baverstock hurts still from his third fall off a horse, but… he is determined to stay in the contest, and so he grabs the reins of a passing dapple grey charger, slips a foot into a stirrup and pulls himself up into the saddle again. Dark eyes scan the lines, and soon he urges the steed on to rejoin his team of Earl Robert, still facing the Lord Knight Sir Edryd. His sword is swung against a random knight among the Cameliard team, who is, as the Lord wills it, a man of average skill and prowess.

As the battle rages on, Seraphina has fallen among the horseless on the ground. With a move of silence and speed she tries to pull herself up on one of the coming horses. Sadly for horse and Seraphina another loose sword, not her own, sends the horse flying and Seraphina with it. A stagger to the side and she is moving towards a mass of others in colors she knows, but the battle is simply to loud for her voice to be heard, so Seraphina stays the Silent Knight of Ebony, readying for one last chance at a horse before the Marshells might notice her.

The chaos continues, the main fray has lost a good number of knights, not fully clear on which teams per say with all the various arms on display. Aeryn founds a mount and fights for her honor, she rejoins the main melee, as does Acwell. Bryce stays with Unit One as well. Seraphina and Quillian battle for horses on the ground, trying to get assistance from others as well while avoiding marshalls. It is chaos for those still on foot.

Having found a mount, fairly quickly, Aeryn has much to fight for. After winning the chance to be in this melee in the last tournament, there's honor at stake, so she calls on it, deep within herself, and lifting her sword, she rides into the action. A knight catches her attention and she finds herself alongside a Woodford. Her own sword swings, catching the knight, and with teamwork, the knight is knocked from his horse. "Teamwork," she tells Acwel pleasantly, on her guard, looking for another knight to fight.

It seems that Acwel is more interested in focusing on being a better rider, perhaps because he faces embarrassment after being dismounted the last time. Still, he charges past the opponent knight alongside Aeryn, flanking the man from the other side while she hits him. His sword runs across the man's side and he salutes her with a grin before he wheels around to fight another knight, himself.

Catryn checked her sword of 15, she rolled 9.

Success
Bryce checked his Sword of 13, he rolled 6.

The average knight who seemed to get in the way of the Lord Knight of Baverstock seems to back away, and so Bryce suddenly finds himself facing Lord Knight Edryd, the commander of the Cameliard team! A quick glance to the side reveals Catryn de Burcombe reaches Edryd at the same time. Pushing past and present quarrels aside, Bryce offers the infamous cruel knight of his rival house a nod, dark eyes flickering as he conveys with his gaze that they shall be working together in this rather singular situation. And so he swings his sword against the commander, aiming to bring him down.

Edryd managed to surge with his units, hoping to push back to gain some ground and rally his knights. Robert lets him not and the press is upon him. The enemy nearly double him, leaving him little room to fight. Even before he can muster his own fight, Sir Catryn and Sir Bryce find him in the mix of the throng. He raises sword and shield to defend in the hopes of raising his team again to press the fight.

Bryce rolls 4d6 and gets (5 4 6 4) for a total of: (19)

Catryn rolls 4d6 and gets (4 6 4 4) for a total of: (18)

It's not like Catryn to team up with anyone, especially a rival, but this was a different circumstance, it was more like a real battle and she know she had to depend on others who were fighting for the same time. It is with no reluctance that she accepts and even welcomes the assistance of the Baverstock.. or was she assisting him? Either way, it's inspiring the way they fight together against a single opponent. At least to the Burcombe.

Edryd raises a good fight, but for the press of Robert and the Salisbury knights. Again the swords are too much for him by the two knights, few knights could stand to such. He is not one of those few. He falls from his horse to the ground.

If Catryn and Bryce want to check battle, they can assure he is captured, used next round to take him to the holding area for ransom ….

And what a surprise! Burcombe and Baverstock join forces for once, Bryce lands a hit to the Cameliard Commander, and so does Catryn, and so the both of them drive him out of the saddle. Bryce reins his horse in and makes sure Sir Edryd is captured, enthusiastic glee glinting in his dark eyes as they find the gaze of Catryn. Together they escort their captive to their staging area,

Success
Brynmor checked his battle of 10, he rolled 2.

It was a successful joint venture and the Burcombe knight hurriedly slides her blade into the scabbard and while they have the chance, the slight lull after defeating a great knight, she assists the Baverstock in leading the prized knight into the staging area for ransom. There's a glance to Bryce and she offers a smirk as Edryd is handed over, the smirk is an almost smile! "Well done, Sir."

Brynmor rolls 2d6 and gets (5 1) for a total of: (6)

Bryce inclines his head to Catryn, returning the smile in a likewise manner. "You too, Sir." He is the master of almost smiles, and so his own matches that of the Burcombe all too well.

Bradwyn had remained on his charger, calling on his passion for his family he managed to knock his opponent to the ground. Sir Bradwyn is steam rolling through the throngs of Glouchester Knights, faithful to his unit. A knight with some battle dings upon his shield and Armor arises against him. "You're not from Clarence," he realizes through the thick of it, "But will fall with the lot!" He swings, getting his shield up, but the drive of the Knight is too much for the veteran and he topples to Bradwyn.

Success
Cyndeyrn checked his battle of 10, he rolled 6.

Bradwyn rides over, and is challenged by another knight. His attention focused, his passion for his family fueling him, the Idmiston let's out a roar befitting the love for his family and a heavy blow rains down on the average knight, sending him to the ground with one hit as though he were new to his spurs as Bradwyn continues on, seems he isn't going to stop easily as he goes to bring glory to Salisbury, the king and queen, and especially his family name!

Normally, Brynmor would just remain here, on the ground, after he has fallen off his horse! Or until his squire escorts him off the jousting field with whatever dignity he had left in tact. But this was different. There were horses charging all around him and the scene was utter pandemonium. Still, it does take him a moment to clear his head, then rise to stand unshakily just as one horse or other careens right past him! "Watch where you'r—" He shouts in his annoyance, but right there, as if it were just waiting for him, is a horse! He just has to make the mad dash in that direction. And so, he sets off through this gauntlet of horses and clashes, dodging this way and that. He is nearly bowled over quite a few times, but in his hard effort, he reaches the magnificent creature and up he goes… to get the hell out of dodge! He was nearly killed down there! Now heated from this experience, he lifts his sword up in the air, his hair all tossled and dusty, "I've just been through Hell and back and now I face my foes with a rewnewed vigor! Let's do this!" It's not so much of a rally cry, but it's all that he could come up with. A few knights are somewhat confused by it, but as they were headed in the same direction as the Steeple Langford, he may very well have a team! Or just stragglers who also don't know where to go or what to do.

Sir Cynderyn must have it out after his fall down. A young man finds himself opposed to him and yells a cry, "For Cheshire, for Love." But there is little love, seeing as the large knight may want to give the boy a taste for the trodden soil below.

As for Sir Rozenn, the bearded knight that faces her has little time for the romantics of chivalry. He grunts a lot, hefting his sword about and focused simply on helping her off as soon as he can.

It hasn't been the easiest of times, really. Since entering the fray, Rozenn de Burcombe has found herself in seemingly endless circles with her initial foe. Upon finally unmounting him and moving further into the battle… she was met with another. Someone who seemed not just stronger, but fresher. As if they hadn't spent an extended period of time going back and forth with an opponent. It's not enough time to recover. She's barely caught her breath. It shows in how her sword is just a bit too slow to be raised; the other Knight catching her shield at just the right angle. He comes in with enough force that the woman is unable to remain in the saddle. Thrown to the ground, but still well-enough to keep moving, she's off to try to find a mount to get back into the thick of it…

Somewhere in the midst of the increasingly chaotic melee, there is a great, heavy lump of meat and metal, also known as the Dinton knight Sir Cyndeyrn. Ingloriously toppled from his horse moments before, he has a face full of dirt when he gets his senses back about him, and rises slowly, cautiously, more than aware of the trampling hooves all around. Although he has never been at the -fore- of a battle before, like most of the newly-knighted he had served his mentor in some of King Nanteleod's battles and knows a bit of the danger that the fray can bring even to a soldier left for dead (or in this case, merely beaten!) on the ground. Especially horses. Because no one has told them this is just sport! With caution then, he rises and then moves amidst the churning field, his height at least giving him a good vantage over the fray. Somewhere, luckily, he spots a perfectly good, if not quite as large horse running lightly along, absent of rider, and with the minimal rules of property displayed on the battlefield, promptly claims it as his own.

Once remounted, easily pulling himself astride the beast, he need only cast a brief glance about before spotting the nearest enemy man and riding right on him: there is no question here but to engage again. Some boy call out to love, and while the knight might once have disdained this, he thinks instead on the favor he wears as he rides the lad down and whacks him from his saddle in a single, violent stroke. For love maybe, but not his love!

Seriol continues to ride in Count Ioan's group. The first encounter that the large knight from Bishopstone had went well enough, the youthful opposing knight dispatched quickly but then those were the glory days when the Count's maneuver had still taken the enemy well off guard and it seemed they might simply plow through all of Duke Randall's forces with nary a thing to stop them. It appears Duke Randall had other ideas and his array of armored knights might as well be a wall made of steel and swords that Ioan's forces have flung themselves against to little avail. At this point they are far more on the defense and Seriol is simply working to keep aside those who try to split their band asunder. It's an overly aggressive younger knight that he next engages, bold enough to get in close and fast and soon the two are coming together to clash swords.

Success
Seriol checked his sword of 15, he rolled 1.

As the aggressive young knight comes in, he seems encouraged by the events folding around him. "Waverton!" He calls his manor, swinging. The battle rages about him, he has dirt spattered on his face. And though clods are kicked up by the numeroud hooves in this main fray, the young man cares not about the taste of the dirt as he swings with a fury.

Seriol quickly meets the aggressive move from the Waverton knight. There is a quick exchange of swords and then he lands a decent blow upon the other knights shoulder although it ultimately fails to dismount the other ride. "A fine house Sir" Seriol says diplomatically if a touch breathlessly even in the fray of battle, "Perhaps when this is all said and done we'll raise a mug to it, and to Bishopstone." The tide of battle causes their horses to separate for a moment but then they are coming back again and once more the larger knight is moving in, swinging lower this time towards the other knight's side in an effort to get past his shield.

Success
Seriol checked his sword of 15, he rolled 8.

The knight is startled a moment at the return, focused on wanting to win, the other seems cordial through it all. "To victory then, and a toast. To which house is … the … victor." Said between blows as the two clash onwards. The horses steady and trotting in place, not quite a skitter as hooves rise and fall, as if ready to run on, but kept as the knights atop them engage in this dance.

The talking is a bit much for the young knight, he takes a hit from Sir Seriol, but pulls at his reins. Even then, its not enough, the man can do little but fall to the ground, hoping to avoid damage as Sir Seriols proves himself. Seems a drink may be owed to a knight of Bishopstone to the young man of Waverton.

Seriol nods his head, although given the heavy helm the motion is nearly unnoticeable. "To the victor" he agrees already a touch winded. But then just moments later the exchange is over, that sword blow aimed at the other knight's chest finding it's way home and powering him from the saddle. "Seriol de Bishopstone" he says to the fallen knight, "Well fought. Good luck finding your way back into the fray, but you'll understand if I hope not to face you again this day." Then the tide of battle is quickly pulling the two apart, for all a tavern might reunite them in the future.

The main fray on the melee field was thinning amongst the first two teams to charge the grounds. Its the gathering of knights from Chesire and Lonazep that keeps the center of the field so clustered for the moment. Amongst the chaos of fallen knights scrambling aside, their attempted capture by knights on either team, and the regaining of horses by prior falling, a throng is near Edryd and Robert, a battle ensues about the Lord Knight as the Earl keeps his team focused on the leader of the Cameliard knights.
While of a lesser number, there are still good knights mounted amongst them, one such turns to face Aeron. Pushing towards middle age, with a massive mustache nearly covering his lips, hanging over the sides of them for certain, he seems grizzled and determined in this contest despite the unfortunate events unfolding for his team. Raising sword, he makes for the knight of Salisbury.

Aeron moves to engage the veteran knight, to keep him from disrupting the rest of the Salisbury formation, no doubt, still upon his own charger, with his shield raising and sword preparing to counter attack the swing of the big mustached man!

The man seeks to make quick work of Aeron, arching down and giving a shove with the hopes of simply unhorsing Aeron. The knight of Salisbury proves a proper foe at least, not so easily unsaddled. "You cannot win," he says in grunts, not letting go with his assault and hoping to keep his momentum going against Sir Aeron.

Glaw checked his battle of 10, he rolled 12.

Second. Time. In the mud. Glaw is hardly amused. And probably sporting impressive colorful swatches on his back. And backside. Still cursing under his breath at the knight who pushed him off his horse, Glaw pushes himself up with the help of his shield, then tugs at the lanyard to bring the sword back up to him, sheathing it so he can grab yet another horse. Much less energetic is the mounting this time, but the palfrey is soon claimed, the sword redrawn, before Glaw moves to find another knight. Hopefully, this time, with better results.

Aeron is staggered in his saddle under the fierce assault of Sir Mustache, shield blocking the worst of it, and he manages to remain in his saddle despite the strong swing of the opposing knight. "You'll have to hit harder then that if you want to defeat me, sir!"

The mustached knight does not relent until he beleives he has the advantage, and presses some more. Not satisfied unless Sir Aeron is no longer atop his horse here, full focus given to his opponet, with a barrage of sword swings meant to unstead more than hit or cause damage.

Aeron finally goes down, the advantage the Salisbury team having garnered proving not sufficient to keep Aeron upon his horse against the fierce foe that is Sir Mustache, and the knight is lost in the melee, at least for the moment.

While Glaw is looking around to perhaps spot those of his fellow Salisbury knights in trouble, while trying to get a feel for the unknown horse beneath him, it seems the enemy does not want to give him time to pick and choose a fight, and instead moves to engage him while he is still disorientated. Well, Glaw for one, had enough of being pushed off horses and trading down! Slamming the pommel of his sword against his shield twice, he spurs his horse to turn and face his Average looking opponent. "Hya!".

Critical Success
Glaw makes a check for Glaw's adjusted Sword skill at 27, he rolled 15.

The knight that Glaw faces turns to face him. The slamming of the shield certainly gets his attention. Turning to find the man as his horse comes back to the fray, the knight raises shield and does his best to return aginst Glaw.

Elrick has rallied 6 knights. The results of his 2d6 roll + 1 point per 1000 glory he has.

With his previous opponent dismounted and now either captured or scurrying around looking for a horse, Elrick finds himself without someone to cross blades with for a moment. This gives him a chance to survey the area around him, seeing a few knights that are also idle after their clashes and looking for direction. Calling out loudly, the Laverstock rallies them to his cause, "Knights! To me! To me! Let's form up and ready a charge!" Whether the knights that heard him found his suggestion sound or it was due to the heat of the melee, six knights rally to Elrick's call.

While Bartimaeus fails to find a horse, he does evade the Marhsalls.

Having regained his feet in the center of a knot of battling knights, Bartimaeus slides his sword back into its sheath and slings his shield onto his back. Grey mail jingling, the priestly knight begins to jog through the battle, dodging lashing hooves and weapons alike. He must find a horse. And he must avoid being captured. Though he doesn't see any horses to hand, he does see a thinning of combat to one side and makes his way in that direction, passing sir Elrick as the Laverstock goes pounding by with a small hoard of knights at his back.
